Welcome to Mountains and Meniere's

A personal account of my trail running adventures with my family and a dodgy inner ear.

Who am I?

Alice, a wife, a mum, an equine vet, budding health and fitness entrepreneur, Meniere’s Disease (MD) patient and now, a blogger!

Why am I writing this ?

To shrug off my dinosaur reputation and engage with the social media massif in a positive and inspiring way.

To act on the bizarre synergy of watching the UTMB (Ultra Trail du Mont Blanc) 2019 race and having my MD diagnosis confirmed within the same month.

To begin my mission to raise awareness of MD in a timely manner during Balance Awareness Week (15th to 21st September 2019).

Who will read this?

Outdoor enthusiasts and running fans.

Parents hoping to engage their children in the joys of mountain adventures.

Those living with MD, their families and employers.

What will this blog achieve in 12 months?

One extra family tackling their first summit together, one additional solidarity bib on the UTMB start line and one employer shifting their perspective on MD would be a worthy achievement, but I’m hoping for much more….
